Zuppe recognises that its legal and moral responsibility to the environment and sustainability of the world’s resources. 

We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and are continually improving our performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods and we aim to be a responsible company who takes a leading role in preserving our planet for future generations.

Responsibilities

The directors are responsible for reviewing, improving and providing the resources required to implement this policy. 

Day to day responsibility for the implementation of the policy is delegated to the production manager. 

All employees have a responsibility to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met as part of their everyday duties.

  • Comply with all regulatory requirements,
  • Continually improve our environmental performance,
  • Continually look for ways to improve and reduce our environmental impact,
  • Increase employee awareness of environmental issues relating to our business.

Objectives:

Suppliers

We source our products from environmentally responsible suppliers and aim to reduce our overall carbon footprint through our supply chain by purchasing from local suppliers where possible.

 Waste

We recycle all eligible waste products and also encourage our customers to recycle where possible by providing our products in packaging which can be recycled.

 As a small manufacturer we produce all our products in smaller batches and we purchase ingredients only for the coming week’s production in this way, we maintain a lower-than-average food waste %

Energy

We are committed to reducing our energy consumption by using energy-efficient appliances and turning off all electronics when not in use. 

We utilise low energy led lighting and have also installed motion sensors to reduce the need for lighting in lower traffic areas.

Transportation

Where we use vehicles for deliveries, we aim to always use electric vehicles to reduce emissions and support air quality improvement.
